Stupidity Index

This is a list of all the insanely stupid stuff we reference to, where it comes from, and what it means.

BEAR BROTHERS ARE DORKS
Something Kupster's MegaHAL said (apparently).

BEEF FOR YOU
Twisting of the song B4U from DDR/Beatmania.

BIG CHUNKA
A burger sold in RTF City Ransom.

BOM
In Guitar Freaks/Drummania, in Break Out, there is one animation showing a can labelled 'BOM' opening itself and a purple monster with claws partially comes out and in large green letters above the can, 'SNIKT' is shown.

BURN ASS!
Nane of an edit data made by Gap@RTF which was zany for some reason.

CHALLENGE GAME
Text displayed in animations for Fly High (Drummania/Guitar Freaks).

CRAB MEN
Reference to Look At Me's animations in Drummania which feature a Bill Clinton lookalike, alient crab men things with diving helmets on, and the 'Jester Snail' which gets fried by a spaceship for some reason.

CRUNCHY HUTS
At the end of Crunchy Nuts in Drummania, the LCD font shows N's that look more like H's. Also CRUHCHY HUTS and CRUNKY NUTS (frequently spelt as this on Japanese sites)

DESIRE
Reference to I'll Remember You (Drummania 2nd MIX and onwards) animation.

DO YOUR BEST ALMONDS
Reference to Guitar Freaks/Drummania - Loud!, where one of the animations is of some nuts filling up the screen, then the words 'DO YOUR BEST!!' come over the top of them.

ESCAPE DOG
Reference to Guitar Freaks 2nd MIX and later - a song called Escape features a mobster dog (ie, it wears mafia clothes!) that at one point 'attacks' the screen, but in actual fact looks like it's hitting itself!

FOOLSTYLE
A unique freestyle technique consisting of stupid, painful and mocking moves, beginning with the idea of the 'monkey' and the 'cobra' as used by Edward@RTF. Think of how Dan Hibiki from the Street Fighter games fights. Like that, only stupid on purpose!

GO GO WEST
Displayed very briefly on a neon sign in Heaven Is A '57 Metallic Gray (Guitar Freaks/Drummania)

GORBACHEV DANCE
The dance done by the 'Gorbachev' guy in Wanna Be Your Boy and the 'Napoleon' in Classic Party 2, both in Guitar Freaks and Drummania.

HI! HEY!
Reference to Loud! in Guitar Freaks/Drummania - several animations have people saying this. For no reason, of course. Reference to squeegy mops and karate chopping wood are also often paired with this one.

IT'S A GOURMET NIGHT
Once again in Break Out from Guitar Freaks/Drummania, this text is sometimes displayed. For no reason. We often say this when we go to eat (especially at night).

IT WAS A MASK!
Reference to the old TV show, Full Frontal (or more specifically, a Roger Explosion quote). Used in several NKB comics.

JESTER SNAIL
Reference to Look At Me's animations in Drummania which feature a Bill Clinton lookalike, alient crab men things with diving helmets on, and the 'Jester Snail' which gets fried by a spaceship for some reason.

KUPSTERDANCE
A move in RTF City Ransom where the player would jump up and down on their opponent.

MANHATTAN SPORTS CLUB
A song in Keyboardmania 2nd MIX.

MEGAHAL
An AI program fed stupid sentences which helps come up with lines for NKB comics. ("My hovercraft is full of eels." -> "My hovercraft is full of eels Ned!")

MICKEY
A robochicken in the Ned Kelly Buckethead comics. Taken from the former Guitar Freaks song, "Mickey's Boogie". The name "Fricken Chicken" was also considered but rejected.

MICROPHONE EATING GUY
In Dance Dance Revolution 4th MIX one of the background animations featured a guy with an afro who looked like he was eating a microphone.

OR FOOL
Reference to Say What You Mean (from Guitar Freaks - does not apply to 1175). This is sometimes displayed, but nothing is displayed before it so it makes no sense.

POWER PLAY IN MUSIC CITY
Shown in Drummania's animations for Road For Thunder. Very hard to spot!

R U READY?
Reference to Guitar Freaks/Drummania - Break Out, where one animation is of a chef who is green for some reason, and the sentence "r u ready?" is displayed in the middle right side of the screen. A varient is "ARE YOU READY?", which is a reference to Day Dream (but is yet to be used!)

RTF CITY RANSOM
Nintendo game hack of River City Ransom, changing it to a DDR theme revolving around Ranking Task Force (the team in which most or all of us are in). Crazy enough to be considered a Bemani Bastard production.

NKB
Ned Kelly Buckethead (see main page)

SNIKT
In Guitar Freaks/Drummania, in Break Out, there is one animation showing a can labelled 'BOM' opening itself and a purple monster with claws partially comes out and in large green letters above the can, 'SNIKT' is shown. (SNIKT is the sound Wolverine of the X-Men makes when he err...claws, but it still seems pretty irrelevant to the song!)

STOMP ON NOAH
Part of the fake lyrics for Hysteria (see Lyrics page)

TAKE ME HIGHER
Generic Bemani quote (lyrics used in 8+ songs!)

TIMMY WECKL AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE (AND STUPIDITY)
Stupid and unrecognisable plush toy found in Dollars & Sense, named after Jimmy Weckl and Thomas Howard. Because you can Depend On Me to get Across The Nightmare, and because Eyes Of Kids pick their arses and get Three Worms.

THE HEAD
Thomas Howard (reference to Day Dream's scenery showing a blue head on the far right that looks like Thomas Howard and probably is him).

WHACHING OUT
Name of a Beatmania song.

WHAT'S HAPPEN?
See DESIRE.

WHAT YOU WANT?
Reference to Drummania 2nd MIX/Stop Spinning Me In Circles - an animation where animated teeth would come across the screen and eat a croissant for no apparent reason, and 'WHAT YOU WANT?' was displayed in red Impact font up the top. It was removed in DM4 and later, and never was in Guitar Freaks anyway. The teeth and the croissant are still there, though!

YOU CAN DRIVE MY CAR
Reference to some text in Used Cars (Guitar Freaks/Drummania)

YOU TAKE A DRIVE TO DREAM WORLD
Reference to some text in Used Cars (Guitar Freaks/Drummania)
